Winter Days Work

Beautiful day. Will killed (part of page missing).

January 10, 2017
Awoke to rain and wind. Another wet day with a high of 39 degrees. The wind and rain melted most of the snow, but created a slick layer of water on the ice making feeding cattle more difficult.
Lots of wasted feed in wet conditions at they trample it into the ground but end up seeding the ground for next spring. After the cattle were fed, Mike and Dad loaded the cattle and sheep, which are going to be locally processed and sold, in the stock trailer.
The drive to Montegue was a wet and windy. Rained hard with wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour. The streams and rivers are running full. The Yreka area still has a lot of snow.
